Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation assists individuals with disabilities with employment and training services designed to help those individuals find success with employment.  MOVR is the first step in the process of getting started in services with MORE Group.  Your MOVR Counselor can refer you to us for help finding the right fit with a job and staying successful with that goal.

Missouri Department of Social Services oversees the following program divisions:  Children’s Division, Family Support Division, MO HealthNet Division, and the Division of Youth Services.  Their homepage (and specific division sites) provides access to information about child support, healthcare coverage, adoptive and foster parenting, medical coverage, food stamps, reporting school violence, finding managed care providers, completing childcare invoicing and much more.

Boone County Family Resources serves persons of all ages with developmental disabilities.  Their services include Supported Living residential services, Life and Work Connections vocational and practical living skills development, and Family and Community Living Support service coordination.

Burrell Behavioral Health offers confidential mental health, substance abuse and autism diagnostic and treatment services to children, adolescents, adults and families. Crisis, residential, home-based and outpatient services, including individual and group therapy, are available.

Central Missouri Community Action serves families in Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Moniteau and Osage Counties with a variety of programs, including utility assistance, weatherization, rental assistance, home ownership classes, budgeting/credit repair, life skills classes, community organizing and engagement, Affordable Care Act navigation, Family Development, Head Start, Foster Grandparents, Missouri Work Assistance Program and more.  A comprehensive list of services and locations is available at their website.

Cole County Residential Services is a county-based agency formed to provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities.  They offer assistance with residential, respite and recreational services as well as case management.

The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri is a regional disaster and hunger relief network that acquires and distributes millions of pounds of donated food annually to soup kitchens, emergency food pantries, shelters for the abused and homeless, programs for low income children and senior citizens, and rehabilitation centers.

Voluntary Action Center provides a wide variety of resources and assistance through unique programs designed to address unmet needs, giving low-income people the opportunity to gain independence, overcome crises, meet their basic needs, and improve their quality of life. VAC also connects local agencies and volunteers with opportunities to respond to serious social problems and community issues.
